GE IC697PWR711 Product Overview

The GE IC697PWR711 is a 100-watt rack-mount unit designed to plug directly into the left-most slot in the rack and connect to the backplane via a 48-pin backplane-mount connector.The power module provides three output voltages of+5VDC,+12VDC and-12VDC,as well as logic level sequencing signals,suitable for various industrial automation and control systems.

Input Voltage

Compatible with 120VAC,240VAC or 125VDC power supply.

The specified operating range is 90VAC to 264VAC for AC input and 100VDC to 150VDC for DC input.

Output voltage and current

+5VDC output,up to 20 amps(some sources state a maximum output of 18 amps,depending on the specific model and configuration).

+12VDC output,2 amps maximum.

-12VDC output,1 amp maximum.

Rack Mounting and Interconnection

Slide-in rack mounting structure for easy installation and removal.

Can be used in single rack applications or can power a second rack via pre-wired cables(provided the total load is within the power supply rating).

The second rack must draw less than 5.2 amps,and the two racks must be mounted very close together,limited by the available 3-foot connecting cable.

Protection and correction

Built-in electronic short circuit overcurrent protection ensures safe operation of the power supply under overload or short circuit conditions.

It has power factor correction function during AC operation to improve power efficiency and power quality.

Working environment and conditions

Under normal operating conditions,the maximum operating temperature should not exceed 60 degrees Celsius(in some cases it can be reduced to 55 degrees Celsius to increase the normal operating range).

When operating continuously at low line voltage and high temperature,power derating may be necessary to ensure safe operation.

The power module has internal electronic short-circuit and overcurrent protection.

Equipped with an ON/OFF switch to put the power supply into active operation.
