Product Description
ABB AO810V2 (3BSE038415R1) is a unipolar analog output module that serves as the interface between control units and actuators. It converts digital signals processed within the control system into standard analog current signals for controlling field devices, such as adjusting valve opening, controlling the speed of frequency converters, and setting the rate of material feeders.
The AO810V2 module receives digital control signals via the backplane bus, converts them to analog output via D/A converters, and reads back serial data to verify communication status.
Function & Features
- Unipolar Current Output: The ABB AO810V2 provides eight channels, each of which outputs a standard current signal (configurable via software). The output current operates in one direction (positive to negative).
- Readback Verification: The ABB AO810V2 module reads back the command data sent to the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and compares it with the original command.
- Output Safety Policy (OSP): Upon detecting any of the above errors, the ABB AO810V2 module immediately triggers the Output Safety Policy (OSP). The module automatically sets the output of the affected channel (or all channels) to a preconfigured safe state.
