General Electric IC697PWR710 Power Supply Module
Product Description
The IC697PWR710 is a rack-mount power supply module for the General Electric (GE) RX7i series of programmable controllers. It plugs directly into the 48-pin backplane-mount connector in the leftmost slot of the rack and provides +5 volt power and logic level sequencing signals to the backplane.
The power supply module can be used in single-rack applications and can also power a second rack when the total load is within the rated range. The inter-rack connection is achieved through pre-wired cables. Under full load conditions, the power supply output can withstand a complete loss of input power for one cycle.

- Protection: The IC697PWR710 provides electronic short circuit overcurrent protection on the 5 volt bus to prevent damage to the power module and connected devices due to short circuits or overcurrent, and also has jumpers for overvoltage protection devices.
- Supports dual rack operation: A single IC697PWR710 power module can support the operation of two racks, and the second rack can be powered through pre-wired cables when the total load meets the power supply rating.
- Power Factor Correction: The IC697PWR710 performs power factor correction on the AC input, which can improve the utilization of electrical energy and also help reduce adverse effects on the power grid.
