Product Description
Honeywell 8C-TAIMA1 TC/RTD I/O Module is a temperature signal input module designed for thermocouples (TC) and thermal resistors (RTD). It supports up to 16 channels of temperature input and can process two types of temperature signals: thermocouples (TC) and thermal resistors (RTD). 8C-TAIMA1 monitors temperature signals and supports 1 second fast scan, open circuit detection (OTD) and cold junction compensation (CJC).
Function & Features
- Cold Junction Compensation (CJC): 8C-TAIMA1 has built-in integral cold junction compensation to reduce the impact of ambient temperature on TC measurement and supports remote CJC.
- Open Circuit Detection (OTD): Configurable OTD function automatically detects sensor open circuit faults within a 1-second scan cycle. If an open circuit is detected, NAN (not a number) is output and a soft fault flag is triggered to prevent invalid data from affecting the control logic.
- No delay processing: OTD detection is completed synchronously with PV (process variable) sampling without increasing system delay.
