Product Description
Honeywell 10205/2/1 fail-safe analog output module is designed for analog control applications and has 2 0 (4)-20 mA output channels. The load is limited to resistive or capacitive. Inductive load will cause the module to fault. The 2 analog outputs are electrically isolated from 24 Vdc and 5 Vdc. The 0 V 1 and 0 V 2 pins on the module are connected to each other. Each output channel consists of a 12-bit D/A converter for output value and an A/D converter for reading the output value. The A/D can be used to verify the working status of the D/A.
Function & Features
- Self-checking mechanism: The 10205/2/1 channel has 12-bit D/A and A/D converters, and uses A/D to check D/A in real time, combined with the test of output value accuracy, power-off capability, and channel crosstalk within the process safety time.
- Adaptation and safety assurance: When 10205/2/1 is matched with an I/O backplane, it can be adapted through the 10205/A/… module; each output has a secondary power-off mode, which is not affected by the application value result, and the watchdog or processor can force the output to shut down.
- Configuration and usage restrictions: 10205/2/1 only supports non-redundant I/O configurations and clear usage boundaries; there are requirements for power connection and unused output processing, and following the specifications can avoid self-check misjudgment.
