  • Serial interface communication: The ABB 216VC62A front panel has a 25-pin connector for the serial interface RS-423A (CCIT V.10 compliant) with data transmission via unbalanced cables at data rates from 1200 to 19200 baud with a signal level of approximately ±4.5V.
  • PC interface communication: The ABB 216VC62A PC interface (RS-232C) is initialized and appropriately set up by software for communication with the RE. 216.
  • Data storage protection: When the power supply is interrupted, the memory in the ABB 216VC62A is maintained by a gold capacitor, ensuring that the event list and fault recorder data remain intact.
