Product Description
Triconex 4329 Network Communication Module (NCM) is installed in a Tricon system to enable it to communicate with other Tricon systems and external hosts over an Ethernet (802.3) network. In addition to the functions of the NCM, the NCMG module can also perform time synchronization based on the GPS system.
The NCM provides two BNC ports and supports a variety of Triconex proprietary protocols and applications, as well as user-written applications. Two NCMs can be installed in one logical slot of the Tricon chassis and operate independently of each other, not in a hot standby relationship.
Function & Features
- Protocol and application support: Triconex 4329 supports a range of Triconex proprietary protocols and applications, such as TriStation, SOE, OPC Server, DDE Server, etc. It also supports user-written applications using the TSAA protocol.
- Port function: Triconex 4329 provides two BNC connector ports. The NET 1 port is specifically designed to support peer-to-peer communication and time synchronization protocols for a safety network consisting of only Tricon;
- Multi-module installation: Two Triconex 4329 NCMs can be installed in the logical slots of a Tricon chassis. They run independently, and the external host can read and write Tricon variables that have been assigned aliases.
