ICS Triplex T8314 Trusted Fibre TX/RX Unit

ICS Triplex T8314 is a Trusted fiber optic transceiver (Tx/Rx) unit designed to extend the transmission distance of a Trusted expansion bus to up to 10 kilometers, allowing the Trusted expansion chassis to be located remotely from the Trusted system host. It establishes a communication link over single-mode fiber optic cable, converting the differential signals of the copper-based expansion bus to optical signals for transmission.

Note: If the distance between the remote expansion chassis and the controller chassis exceeds 2 kilometers, a cable routing survey is recommended.

Function & Features

• Signal Transmitter (Controller Side): The T8314 receives PECL differential electrical signals from the Trusted Expander Interface Module in the controller chassis. The internal fiber optic transceiver converts the electrical signals into optical signals.

• Signal Receiver (Remote Expansion Chassis Side): Another T8314 receives the optical signals via optical fiber. Its internal fiber optic transceiver converts the optical signals back into PECL electrical signals. Ultimately, the clean electrical signals are transmitted to the Trusted Expander Processor Module in the remote expansion chassis.

• Reverse Communication: The T8314 communication process from the expansion chassis to the controller chassis is exactly the same, but in the opposite direction.
