ABB TU810V1 is a 16-channel, 50V module terminal unit (MTU) for S800 I/O. As a passive unit, it is used to connect field wiring to I/O modules and contains part of the ModuleBus. The MTU distributes the ModuleBus to the I/O modules and the next MTU, and also generates the correct address of the I/O module by shifting the outgoing position signal to the next MTU. In addition, TU810V1 is a passive device, and its function depends on the matching S800 I/O module and control system architecture.

Fuctions & Features

  • Signal and power distribution: TU810V1 provides 16 channels of field signal and process power connection, supporting single-line connection. Assign ModuleBus signals to I/O modules and pass bus signals to the next MTU.
  • Automatic address generation: TU810V1 generates the correct address for the connected I/O module by shifting the output position signal, supporting module cascade expansion.
  • Mechanical key configuration: TU810V1 uses dual mechanical keys (6 positions each) to achieve 36 combinations, physically preventing mis-insertion of different models of I/O modules (mechanical locking only, does not affect electrical functions).
