ABB SIM810 Serial Interface Module
Product Description
ABB SIM810 serial interface module is used to upgrade the firmware of the three steam turbine modules. It can also be used for parameter configuration when the module is in standalone mode (no Profibus connection). The module is tightly connected to the Symphony Plus system, while having the ability to operate independently. In standalone mode, the steam turbine modules need to be configured through the SIM810 module using a standard PC via a serial connection. For this purpose, ABB has developed the "Turbine Automation Power Tool", a PC-based application that allows easy and efficient configuration and monitoring of steam turbine modules.
Fuctions & Features
★ In standalone mode, SIM810 uses Turbine Automation Power Tools software to configure module parameters (such as overspeed protection thresholds, valve positioning logic, etc.)
★ When the turbine module is disconnected from the main control system (such as DCS), SIM810 can still independently run key functions (such as automatic synchronization, valve control, overspeed protection).
★ Peer-to-Peer communication between TP800 modules is achieved through SIM810 to coordinate internal overspeed testing of multiple turbines.
