Product Description

Emerson A6370 Overspeed Protection Monitor is a key component of the AMS 6300 Safety Instrumented System (SIS) designed for overspeed protection in industrial applications. It is housed in a standard 19" rack, occupying 84HP in width and 3RU in height, and is paired with the A6371 system backplane to form a cohesive protection monitoring solution. Each AMS 6300 SIS consists of three A6370 Protection Monitors and one A6371 backplane, ensuring a comprehensive monitoring setup for critical machinery.

Fuctions & Features

  • Professional overspeed protection function: As a key component of the AMS 6300 Safety Instrument System (SIS), the Emerson A6370 is specifically used for overspeed protection in industrial applications. It can monitor the operating speed of the equipment in real time. When the speed exceeds the set threshold, the protection mechanism is triggered in time to prevent the equipment from causing failures or safety accidents due to overspeed.
  • Collaborative working ability: The Emerson A6370 needs to be used in conjunction with the A6371 system backplane to form a complete protection monitoring solution. Through the collaborative work with the backplane, data transmission and communication with other components can be achieved.
  • Redundant design ensures comprehensive monitoring: Each AMS 6300 SIS contains three A6370 protection monitors and an A6371 backplane. The three protection monitors form a redundant configuration and can comprehensively monitor key mechanical equipment.
  • Set threshold: The operator can pre-set the threshold of overspeed protection in the A6370 according to the safe operating range of the equipment. This threshold is usually determined based on factors such as the type of equipment, rated speed, and process requirements.
