General Electric IC693CBL305 Wye-type Cable

It can be used when both serial ports (Port 1 and Port 2) of an SCM (Serial Communication Module) need to be used simultaneously. This cable is a star-shaped cable that connects Port 1 and Port 2 on a single connector on the module, splitting them into two independent connectors. Applications requiring only a single SCM port do not require this cable, and it should not be used in multi-drop networks (see the note below).

Note: The IC693CBL305 star-shaped cable should not be used to connect an SCM to a multi-drop network, as it introduces signal reflections in the network. Multi-drop networks should be connected directly to the SCM serial connector via the cable.
