Product Description

ABB NDPC-02 is a data transmission cable for DDCS/PC and is also part of the ABB drive commissioning kit. It is a 5 MBd optical transmitter/receiver that can be used in conjunction with NDPA-02. As an optical transmitter/receiver, it is mainly used to transmit and receive optical signals during the commissioning of ABB drives. It can be used for data transmission, communication between devices, or the transfer of commissioning information to support the commissioning of drives.

Fuctions & Features

  • Optical signal generation and emission: When debugging information needs to be transmitted, the optical transmission module inside the NDPC-02 converts the electrical signal into an optical signal.
  • Optical signal transmission and reception: The emitted optical signal is transmitted through a transmission medium such as an optical fiber. At the receiving end, the photodetector in the optical receiving module of the NDPC-02, such as a photodiode, senses the intensity change of the optical signal and converts it into a corresponding electrical signal.
  • Working with NDPA-02: When NDPC-02 works with NDPA-02, it may be that NDPC-02 is responsible for the transmission and reception of optical signals, while NDPA-02 is responsible for further processing, conversion, or interfacing with other devices.
