GE IS200ERSCG1A / IS200ERSCG1AAA is an Exciter Regulator Static Converter used in excitation control systems.It serves as the core power conversion component of the excitation system, acting as the interface between the DC power supply and the generator excitation field.

The module also manages connections with the redundancy relay board and the dynamic discharge board.It performs static DC-to-DC power conversion and carries out field discharge operations.

Note: This model is intended for use in simplex (non-redundant) systems only.

Function & Features

• The IS200ERSCG1A / IS200ERSCG1AAA board uses an insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) module as its primary static power switching device.

• Although the IS200ERSCG1A / IS200ERSCG1AAA itself is designed for simplex systems, its associated ERSCG2 version includes a special latching de-energized path to facilitate the transition from the primary regulator to the redundant regulator.

• The IS200ERSCG1A / IS200ERSCG1AAA board includes an onboard voltage attenuator for measuring and regulating the voltage supplied to the excitation field. The positive input connects directly to the positive terminal of the field, and the negative input connects to the line side of the current shunt.
