GE IC690ACC901 is a RS-422 (SNP) to RS-232 mini converter kit, which mainly consists of a RS-422 (SNP) to RS-232 mini converter in a 6-foot (2-meter) serial extension cable and a 9-pin to 25-pin conversion plug assembly. It supports point-to-point or multi-drop configuration and is suitable for connecting GE programmable controllers (such as Series 90-30/90-70) with IBM PCs, industrial computers and other devices.

- IC690ACC901 includes a RS-422 to RS-232 mini converter with a built-in 6-foot (2-meter) serial extension cable.
- IC690ACC901 provides a 9-pin to 25-pin adapter plug for IC647 computers, IBM PC-XT, PS/2 and other devices.
- The 15-pin SNP port plugs directly into the PLC serial port, and the 9-pin RS-232 port connects to the terminal device.
- IC690ACC901 supports bidirectional conversion between RS-422 (differential signal) and RS-232 (single-ended signal).
- IC690ACC901 converter has its own LED indicator to display the transmit (TX) and receive (RX) signal activity status in real time.
