Product Description
GE IS420UCSCS2A is a dual-core controller module used to build functional safety loops, enabling systems to achieve SIL 2 and SIL 3 safety levels. This module is primarily used by operators familiar with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to manage and mitigate risks associated with critical safety functions.
Note: The IS420UCSCS2A is available from ControlST version V07.02 onwards and supports simplex, dual-mode, and triple-mode redundancy configurations.
Function & Features
- The IS420UCSCS2A features three IONet ports for communication and also supports EGD/UDH communication. This module can communicate with I/O modules via PROFINET, HSSL, and other interfaces.
- The IS420UCSCS2A uses a dual-core AMD G-series processor and supports a signal span from -8 mV to +45 mV.
- The IS420UCSCS2A's internal circuitry issues a warning at 85°C, shuts down at 95°C, and automatically restarts when the temperature drops below 75°C.
