Allen-Bradley 1768-L45 SER B CompactLogix L45 3 MB Memory Controller

Allen-Bradley 1768-L45 SER B is a controller in the CompactLogix series. The CompactLogix platform integrates the advantages of the Logix platform and can be used for stand-alone or system control connected via EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet networks when used with Compact I/O modules.

The 1768-L45 module has 3MB of memory and is designed for small and medium-sized applications. It is equipped with a fully isolated RS232 communication port. It complies with the relevant provisions of EU Directive 94/9/EC for potentially explosive environments and meets the basic health and safety requirements for the design and construction of Class 3 equipment used in potentially explosive environments in Zone 2.

• 3MB user memory: 1768-L45 supports medium-sized logic control, data processing and simple motion control tasks.

• Logix control engine: 1768-L45 is compatible with ControlLogix, GuardLogix and other platform programming environments (Studio 5000), reducing development costs.

• RS-232 isolated serial port: 1768-L45 supports DF1, ASCII and other protocols, and can be directly connected to HMI or legacy devices.

• Hardware configuration: 1768-L45 connects I/O modules (such as 1769-IF8 analog input) through the 1769 backplane. Motion control requires a SERCOS interface module (such as 1768-M04SE).

• Software configuration: 1768-L45 is programmed using Studio 5000 Logix Designer, which supports label programming and online modification. The serial port needs to be configured with baud rate and protocol type (such as DF1 full-duplex).
