For example, in an onshore oilfield’s oil transportation pipeline monitoring system, the T8830 is responsible for connecting multiple pressure and flow sensors along the pipeline with the T8431 core module. Its 40-channel design can meet the signal access needs of multiple sensors at the same time, and the 50mA fuse of each channel can avoid circuit burnout caused by abnormal current of individual sensors. In a thermal power plant’s boiler monitoring system, the module connects the temperature sensors at various parts of the boiler to the control system. The on-board LED indicator can let the staff intuitively check the power supply status. Installation & Maintenance Pitfalls

  1. Improper Power Supply Connection: The module adopts dual 24VDC power supply which is connected in common through diodes. If the positive and negative poles are reversed during installation, or only a single power supply is connected, it may cause the module to fail to work normally or reduce reliability. It is necessary to strictly follow the manual to connect the dual power supply correctly.
  2. Neglecting Fuse Inspection: Although each channel is equipped with a fuse for protection, if the fuse is not checked regularly after long-term use, the fuse aging or damage may cause the channel to fail to collect signals. It is recommended to check the fuse status synchronously during routine maintenance.
  3. Incorrect DIN Rail Installation: The module relies on DIN rail installation. If the installation is not firm, the vibration of industrial equipment during operation may cause poor contact between the module and the rail. It is necessary to confirm that the module is clamped in place during installation to avoid loose connections.
  4. Ignoring Wiring Specifications: The module uses 2-wire wiring for field signals and is connected through terminal blocks. If the wiring is too long or the wire diameter is too small during installation, signal attenuation will be caused.
