Product Description
The Triconex 3664 Dual Digital Output Module (DDO module) receives output signals from the host processor through a single parallel or serial path, performs a three-out-of-two voting process for each switch, and transmits the resulting output signals to the field terminal.
The 3664 module supports hot swapping and requires an external terminal block (ETP) to connect to field devices.
Function&Features
- Dual circuit redundancy design: Compared with TMR (triple modular redundancy) modules, Triconex 3664's dual redundant design ensures safety while reducing costs.
- 2-out-of-3 (2oo3) voting: Each output switch of Triconex 3664 votes independently, and a single point failure does not affect the safety state.
- Voltage loopback detection (Voltage-Loopback): Triconex 3664 modules can still verify the switch status when there is no load and detect potential faults (such as open circuits and blown fuses). If the output status does not match the command, the LOAD/FUSE alarm is triggered.
