Product Description
ABB IMMFP12 is the core multi-function processor module (MFP) of INFI 90® OPEN control system. It is a multi-loop analog, sequential, batch and advanced controller. The module has analog control, sequential logic, batch processing and advanced algorithm functions, supports multi-loop regulation and real-time data acquisition, and provides true peer-to-peer communication capabilities. The MFP module has three operating modes: execution, configuration and error. In execution mode, the MFP module executes the control algorithm and constantly checks itself for errors.
Fuctions & Features
- Automatic calibration and compensation: Factory pre-calibrated (offset, gain, nonlinear error compensation). Automatic recalibration during operation to eliminate the effects of component aging and temperature drift, without the need for manual calibration by the user.
- Temperature linearization: Thermocouple/RTD signals are automatically converted to °C or °F based on industry standard nonlinear correction tables. Cold junction compensation (CJC) supports local (built-in) or remote reference.
- Engineering unit conversion: Voltage/current signals are ranged according to function code (FC 216), and outputs are directly converted to engineering values.
