Functional features

Signal conversion:When the keyphaser mark on the shaft is aligned with the keyphaser sensor,the module uses a magnetic sensor or proximity probe to detect the alignment and convert the input signal into a digital keyphaser signal.

Multi-signal processing capability:The 3500 machinery protection system can accept up to four keyphase signals in a normal setting and up to eight in a paired configuration.

Precise detection:Once per revolution or multiple times per revolution event pulses of a rotating shaft or gear(called keyphase signals)can be used to accurately detect timing,allowing the 3500 monitoring module and external diagnostic tools to measure shaft speed and vector characteristics such as 1X vibration amplitude and phase.

Compatibility:Maintains full backward compatibility in form,fit,and function with existing Keyphasor modules used for legacy systems while providing increased Keyphasor signal handling capability over previous designs.

Redundant Setup:When system keyphasor inputs are required in Triple Modular Redundant(TMR)applications,the 3500 system should use two Keyphasor modules,which operate in parallel to provide primary and secondary keyphasor signals to other modules in the rack.

Input Signal Range:+0.8V to 21.0V for non-isolated I/O modules and+5V to-11V for isolated I/O modules.Signals outside this range are internally limited by the module.

Output Impedance:Maximum output impedance of the buffer is 504 ohms.

Keyphasor Sensor Power Supply:-24Vdc,40mA maximum per channel.

Mounting:To mount in a full-height slot,the half-height master module requires a unique mounting adapter.The user can insert the master module into any of the 14 accessible slots.Only two master modules can be in each rack,one each in the top and bottom half slots.
