GE HYDRAN M2 Product Introduction
GE HYDRAN M2 is a compact,permanently installed online monitoring device that is mainly used to monitor the dissolved gas and moisture in the oil of the transformer,as well as other key parameters.By continuously monitoring these parameters,GE HYDRAN M2 can promptly issue an alarm when a transformer fails,thereby reducing the risk of unexpected power outages.
Main functions
Dissolved Gas Analysis(DGA)
Monitors fault gases dissolved in the oil,such as hydrogen(H2),carbon monoxide(CO),acetylene(C2H2)and ethylene(C2H4).
Provide composite gas sensor or hydrogen sensor only options,choose according to user needs.
Moisture in Oil Monitoring
Track the moisture content in the oil and read it in%RH(relative humidity)and ppm(parts per million).
Moisture monitoring helps identify degradation of insulation paper and leakage of gaskets.
Other parameter monitoring
Other sensors can be connected,such as top and bottom tank oil temperature,transformer load or ambient temperature,etc.
These parameters allow a deeper analysis of the transformer’s condition.

Built-in mathematical model
A transformer mathematical model based on the IEEE standard provides transformer status information.
Model outputs include estimated winding hot spot temperature,humidity in paper,moisture bubbling temperature,insulation aging,overload capacity,cooling efficiency and OLTC temperature difference,etc.

Supports multiple communication methods and protocols,such as RS485,etc.
