Main functions and features
Unique communication board
The Exciter ISBus board(EISB)is a unique communication board for M1,M2 and C controllers,which receives fiber feedback signals through the control backplane and transmits them to the DSPX controller.
Multi-interface communication
The EISB uses RS-232C to communicate between the DSPX and the tool and keyboard ports through the backbone connector.
Redundant design
Includes ISBus interface electronics for redundant exciters,improving system reliability and stability.
Modular design
The EISB is a single-slot,3U high module located in the control rack below the DSPX for easy installation and maintenance.
Signal reception and transmission
Receives current and voltage signals from the generator field(and exciter if necessary)through the fiber optic connector on the front panel,and receives and transmits signals to the ground detection module.
Technical specifications and components
Front panel components
There are no LED indicators,jumpers or fuses.There are two groups of four optical receiving sockets on the front panel,and two groups consisting of one optical receiver and one transmitter.
Connectors
Located on the front panel of the board,used to receive and transmit variable frequency signals,including EDCF board generator field DC voltage input,DC generator field EDCF board current input,EDCF exciter voltage input(optional),EDCF exciter current input(optional),and voltage output of the ground detector.
Reset switch
The reset switch is recessed behind the hole in the lower part of the front panel.
RS-232C driver
Provides+24V dc for power supply and 24V dc return voltage from the backplane.The data rate range is between 1200 and 38.4 KBaud.
