Product Description

The A6312 is a two-channel rotational speed monitor module within the A6000 machine monitoring system. This microprocessor-controlled monitor is designed to work in conjunction with two eddy current measuring chains or hall-effect sensors (e.g., PR 9376) along with triggering wheels to measure and condition shaft speeds and rotational reference marks (key-pulses).

Each of the two channels can be used independently to measure:

  • Two speeds from two separate shafts.
  • Two key-pulses from two shafts, each with a trigger mark and a phase relation.

Additionally, both channels can be utilized together for:

  • Detecting the direction of rotation of a single shaft.
  • Identifying differences between the speeds of two shafts.

The AMS 6500 configuration software for machinery protection facilitates the configuration of protection modules and provides real-time monitoring of vibration systems and sensor health.

The user-friendly configuration process begins with the selection of a card type. The software then presents a clear tabular view with all configuration settings visible. Tabs assist in organizing information, differentiating between inputs, outputs, advanced machine diagnostics, and administrative tasks. Permissible parameter ranges are displayed for every required entry to help users understand the allowable parameter values.

When using Emerson sensors and converters, preset parameters are automatically loaded. Real-time data can be displayed during system configuration to ensure that wiring, card settings, and instrumentation are correctly set up and functioning as intended. Real-time information, including gap voltages, waveform data, and overall vibration data, can be monitored and reviewed.
