• Valve position monitoring: The Emerson A6410 can measure the main steam inlet valve stem position and display it as a percentage of opening, providing the operator with an indication of the current load on the turbine.

• Casing expansion monitoring: The Emerson A6410 usually uses two inductive displacement sensors installed axially, parallel to the shaft and located on both sides of the turbine casing for casing expansion monitoring. During startup, the expansion rate on both sides of the turbine casing is monitored to prevent casing bending and causing the rotor to collide with the casing.

• Channel functions are diverse: Channel 1 of the Emerson A6410 can measure static values ​​such as casing expansion, as well as dynamic quantities such as displacement, angle, force, torque, etc.; Channel 2 is used for static measurements and relative displacement (relative to channel 1) measurements.
