Woodward 5501-471 is a serial input/output (SIO) expansion module for the MicroNet Plus control system, part of the 9900 Series product line. This module provides an additional serial communication interface to enable data exchange between the gas/steam turbine control system and field sensors, actuators, and other devices.
Function & Features
- 5501-471 has serial input/output (SIO) function, which transmits data bit by bit on the communication channel through serial protocol. It is often used to connect sensors, actuators and other devices to the control system.
- 5501-471 is fully equipped with MicroNet Plus system and can directly replace the old module without modifying the GAP program block.
- 5501-471 supports standard protocols such as RS-232/RS-485/Modbus, and the baud rate is configurable.
- 5501-471 has built-in communication fault detection, which automatically triggers the IOLOCK state when abnormal.
