ABB TU8493BSE042560R1 Module Terminal Unit (MTU) is a device for redundant configuration of TB840/TB840A optical module bus modem. It is used to connect TB840/TB840A optical module bus modem. As a passive device, it provides dual power distribution, mechanical coding to prevent mis-insertion and rail mounting functions.

- Dual power connection: TU849 has dual power connection ports, which can power two modems separately.
- Cluster address setting: TU849 can easily set the cluster address through a rotary switch, with an address range of 1 to 7, which can be identified and managed in the system.
- Anti-wrong insertion design: TU849 uses a mechanical key configuration to prevent the insertion of the wrong type of module.
- Mechanical coding: TU849 has 4 adjustable key positions (6 gears/piece, a total of 36 combinations).
