GE DS200SDCCG4AGD (DS200SDCCG4A) is a drive control board for the GE Mark V series. It performs core software and circuit control for the gas turbine drive unit or exciter, and also connects and manages the motor drive, signal processing, and system communications. This control board consists of a coordinated processing system (DCP/MCP/CMP) connected by three 16-bit microprocessors via dual-port RAM.

Note: The DS200SDCCG4A model is suitable for the TC2000 turbine. Its main differences from earlier versions lie in the parameter storage area and firmware.

Triple processor architecture

The core of the DS200SDCCG4AGD is composed of three 16-bit microprocessors connected through dual-port RAM to work together. The following is a detailed description:

  • Drive Control Processor (DCP): Utilizing an 80C186 microcontroller, it is responsible for system-level operations such as the user interface, external regulation loops (speed, position), and managing digital and analog I/O.
  • Motor Control Processor (MCP): Utilizing an 80C196 microcontroller, it is responsible for internal closed-loop control, such as the current regulator, and performs motor technology-specific functions (DC phase control, AC motion control).
  • Co-Motion Processor (CMP): Utilizing a TMS320C25 digital signal processor, it is dedicated to handling advanced motor control algorithms that are too complex and mathematically intensive for the MCP and is only activated when additional processing power is required.
