Allen-Bradley 1756-EN2TR is a dual-port EtherNet/IP network interface module for the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix control system platform. This dual-port Ethernet/IP interface communication module supports conventional messaging and acts as a bridge between ControlLogix controllers and EtherNet/IP networks, enabling data exchange between the controller and remote I/O, drives, other controllers, and higher-level systems (such as HMIs and SCADA systems).
Function & Features
- The 1756-EN2TR provides two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, supporting both Device Level Ring (DLR) and linear network topologies, enabling the creation of ring networks with latency of less than 3ms without the need for additional switches.
- The 1756-EN2TR supports up to 128 TCP/IP connections and CIP Motion control for up to 8 axes.
- A rotary switch on the top of the 1756-EN2TR module allows the last digit of the IP address (001-254) to be set directly. The default network is 192.168.1.xxx.
- The module includes built-in support for the conformal coating option, and multiple 1756-EN2TR modules can be installed in the same chassis.
