Product Description
GE IC697CMM742 is a Type 2 Ethernet interface module that can be inserted into a single slot of an IC697 PLC rack and configured using the IC641 PLC programming software. Up to four modules can be installed in a single CPU rack. It supports configuration- and logic-based Ethernet Global Data exchange and provides TCP/IP communication services using SRTP (proprietary protocol), covering a 4-layer TCP/IP protocol stack.
Function & Features
- The IC697CMM742 is equipped with 3 network ports: 10BaseT (RJ-45 connector), 10Base2 (BNC connector), and AUI (15-pin D-type connector). It can automatically identify and select the port in use, and only one port is enabled at the same time.
- The 10BaseT and 10Base2 ports can directly connect to the corresponding network (such as twisted pair network hub, thin coaxial cable network) without external transceivers; the AUI port supports multiple 10Mbps media (such as 10Base5, 10BaseF, 10Broad36, etc.) through a user-supplied 802.3-compatible transceiver with SQE option enabled.
- The IC697CMM742 supports communication with other IC697, IC693 PLCs, hosts running Host Communications Toolkit or CIMPLICITY software, and computers running TCP/IP version programming software (MS-DOS or Windows systems).
