Honeywell 10302/2/1 Watchdog Repeater
Product Description
Honeywell 10302/2/1 is a watchdog repeater module. It doesn't directly monitor processor programs, but rather monitors the health of the power supply to I/O modules and controls the watchdog inputs of connected output modules accordingly.
This repeater can take over watchdog signal transmission when existing watchdog modules (such as the 10005/1/1) are no longer sufficient for certain system scenarios. The Honeywell 10302/2/1 connects via a horizontal bus and can be installed strictly within the I/O segment where the monitored I/O modules are located. It also supports live replacement.
Function & Features
- Power Monitoring and Safety Interlocks: The Honeywell 10302/2/1 monitors the power supplied to the I/O modules. If a power failure is detected, it immediately de-energizes its watchdog output (WDG OUT), placing the controlled equipment in a safe state.
- Mixed Configuration: In a mixed configuration of redundant and non-redundant I/O, the Honeywell 10302/2/1 generates a watchdog signal for the output modules in the non-redundant I/O portion.
- Physical Location: The Honeywell 10302/2/1 must be installed in the I/O rack it monitors and cannot control another I/O partition.
- Bus Connection: The Honeywell 10302/2/1 requires a horizontal bus connection and must be installed in a specific slot (positions 1, 2, or 11-18) in the I/O rack.
