Product Description
GE IS220PPRAH1A(IS220PPRAH1B) is an Emergency Turbine Protection Module for turbine safety systems. It provides a backup protection layer independent of the primary control system, primarily for preventing dangerous overspeed conditions. This module operates in TMR mode, consisting of three identical PPRA modules working together, supporting connection to single, dual, or triple redundant controllers.
Note: The IS220PPRAH1A has been discontinued. The upgraded model is the IS220PPRAH1B.
Function & Features
- Monitoring the Main Control System: The IS220PPRAH1A (IS220PPRAH1B) comprehensively monitors the status and operation of the TREA trip relay board through a comprehensive set of feedback signals. If a problem with the TREA board is detected, the backup trip relay on the board will trip and a trip signal will be activated to the main control system.
- Hardware and Configuration: The IS220PPRAH1A (IS220PPRAH1B) module is designed for use with the TREA terminal board (equipped with the WREA option board) and will not operate in configurations other than those supported by the standard PPRO module.
- Multi-Channel Speed Signal Processing: The IS220PPRAH1A (IS220PPRAH1B) can accept up to six speed signals (configured as three pairs). Based on these signals, it implements firmware-based overspeed protection, acceleration protection, and deceleration protection.
