Product Description
Yokogawa ANT401-5E/CU1T is an Optical ESB Bus Repeater Module for the CENTUM VP control system. Essentially a fiber optic repeater, the module receives electrical ESB bus signals from an FCU or node unit and converts them into optical signals, transmitting them to a distant location (up to 5 km) via fiber optic cable.
At the remote location, another repeater slave module (such as the ANT502) converts the optical signals back into electrical signals for further transmission to the distant ESB node unit.
Functions and components
1. When the ANT401-5E is used with the ANT502 optical ESB bus repeater slave module (connected via fiber optic cable), the ESB bus transmission distance can be extended to 5 km.
2. In a multi-module configuration (ANT401 master module → A2EN501 N-ESB bus repeater slave module → ANT502 slave module), the transmission distance can also be extended to 5 km via fiber optic cable.
3. The ANT401-5E can be installed in the following Field Control Units (FCUs):
- Optical ESB bus repeater module dedicated unit: ANT10U;
- ESB bus node unit: ANB10 series;
- Optical ESB bus node unit: ANB11 series.
