Product Description
GE Fanuc IC697CPX928 is a central processing unit (CPU) module used in the GE Fanuc Series 90-70 programmable logic controller (PLC) family. This module executes user-written control logic and handles all input/output (I/O) data. It occupies only one slot in the PLC rack and can be programmed and configured using specialized MS-DOS or Windows (95/NT)-based programming software, such as Logicmaster 90 or CIMPLICITY Machine Edition.
Function & Features
- The IC697CPX928 supports IC697 series discrete and analog I/O modules. It also supports earlier IC660/IC661 (Series 90-30) I/O products with an additional bus controller module.
- The IC697CPX928 uses a RUN/STOP switch to control the module's operating state, including "RUN WITH OUTPUTS ENABLED," "RUN WITH OUTPUTS DISABLED," and "STOP" modes.
- Forced air cooling is required when the ambient temperature of the IC697CPX928 exceeds 50°C (122°F). It is recommended that a fan assembly with a minimum airflow of 70 CFM (such as the IC697ACC721, IC697ACC724, or IC697ACC744) be installed below slot 1 of the CPU rack.
