Product Description
Woodward 9905-860 Peak 150 Digital Control is a microprocessor-based digital controller that manages turbine speed by controlling steam flow into the turbine (via actuators/valves). Its core application is driving various mechanical systems such as pumps, fans, blowers, and compressors.
It can be configured to the user's control requirements and the system can be configured in the field. The 9905-860 uses a NEMA 4 enclosure for indoor or outdoor installation and has both manual and automatic start modes.
Function & Features
- Manual Start Mode: The operator manually accelerates the turbine until it reaches the preset "Minimum Governing Speed." At this point, the 9905-860 controller automatically takes over and enters automatic speed control.
- Automatic Start Mode: The 9905-860 controller automatically increases the speed from "Idle" to "Minimum Governing Speed." This mode supports critical speed band configuration, automatically and quickly skipping resonant speed zones to protect the turbine.
- Handheld Programmer Setup: The configuration interface is separate from the main controller, and the 9905-860 system parameters can be configured using a dedicated handheld programming unit.
