Product Description
ABB AI815 3BSE052604R1 is an 8-channel analog input HART module. The module can be configured as either voltage or current input, but current and voltage signals cannot be mixed on the same I/O module. Its voltage and current inputs can withstand overvoltage or undervoltage of at least 11V DC. The module distributes external HART-compatible transmitter power to each channel, providing an easy way to connect 2-wire or 3-wire transmitters while monitoring and limiting the transmitter power supply. If an external power supply is used to power a HART transmitter, the power supply must be HART-compatible.

supports 0...20 mA, 4...20 mA current signals, and 0...5 V, 1...5 V DC voltage signal input, which is a single-ended unipolar input.
Power distribution and monitoring
distribute the external HART-compatible transmitter power supply to each channel, monitor the transmitter power supply and limit the current to ensure the power supply of the transmitter.
Isolation function:
8 channels are isolated from the ground as a group to reduce electrical interference.
