The Bently Nevada 3500/62 (163179-03) is a dual-channel temperature monitoring module used within the 3500 Machinery Protection System. It provides high-accuracy, real-time temperature measurement for critical machinery such as turbines, compressors, motors, and pumps.

This module combines precise signal conditioning, digital processing, and alarm logic to continuously monitor two independent temperature inputs. Each channel can be configured to accept either Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) or Thermocouples (TCs).

The 163179-03 version includes an Isolated Input/Output (I/O) module, providing complete channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation. This isolation improves noise immunity and minimizes ground loop interference, making it ideal for electrically noisy or high-voltage industrial environments.

Each channel includes two programmable alarms (Alert and Danger) and one 4–20 mA analog output proportional to the measured temperature.
