The Bently Nevada 3500/92 136180-01 Communication Gateway module offers extensive communication capabilities for integrating rack monitored values and statuses with process control and automation systems. It supports both Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communications, allowing seamless integration. This module facilitates Ethernet communication with 3500 Rack Configuration Software and Data Acquisition Software, and supports various protocols:
- Modicon® Modbus® protocol (via serial communications)
- Modbus/TCP protocol (TCP/IP Ethernet communications)
- Proprietary Bently Nevada protocol (for communication with 3500 Rack Configuration and Data Acquisition Software)
The Ethernet connection to the 3500/92 is via RJ45 for 10BASE-T star configuration Ethernet networks. The 3500/92 retains the communication interfaces, protocols, and features of the original 3500/90, except for primary value Modbus registers. Instead, the 3500/92 features a Configurable Modbus Register Utility, offering the same functionality as the original primary value Modbus registers.
