Product Description
IP172 500-172-000-011 is an Interconnection Protection Mounting Kit for use with TQxxx series (e.g., TQ4xx, TQ9xx) proximity sensor systems. It protects the micro-coaxial connector between the sensor cable and the EAxxx series extension cable.
This kit contains all the components necessary to install and assemble the IP172 interconnection protector. It can be ordered as an optional accessory for TQxxx and EAxxx assemblies, or retrofitted into existing TQxxx-based proximity measurement systems.

- The IP172 500-172-000-011 interconnect protector included in the kit is a protective sleeve made of fluorosilicone rubber. It consists of two male and female connectors. To install, secure each part to the rear of the micro coaxial connector on the cable to be connected. Once the cable is electrically connected through the connector, press the two parts of the protector together.
- The IP172 500-172-000-011 can be used with micro coaxial connectors and coaxial cables with diameters ranging from Ø 2.6 - Ø 3.6 mm.
- The IP172 500-172-000-011 utilizes a two-piece push-fit assembly method. Once the electrical connection is complete, the two parts are simply pushed together to fully enclose and protect the delicate connector area.
