Bently Nevada 86517-01-01-01-01 Accelerometer Interface Module is an accelerometer-based sensor system component designed for vibration monitoring in aero-derivative gas generators and gas turbines. It is designed for use with the Bently Nevada 3300 Series 3300/95 filter module/vibration monitor. It can also be used with specially modified 3300 Series monitors (such as the 3300/15 and 3300/25).

Note: Velocity signal is the most commonly used measure of vibration severity and is therefore the primary signal that the 86517-01-01-01-01 module most often outputs to monitoring systems (such as the 3300 monitor) for alarm and protection purposes.

Function & Features

  • Output Signal Configuration: The 86517-01-01-01-01 module supports both single-ended and balanced dual-wire outputs for acceleration (+ACCEL/-ACCEL) and velocity (+VELOCITY/-VELOCITY) signals.
  • 12th-Order Bandpass Filtering: The Bently 86517-01-01-01-01 uses a 12th-order bandpass filter (a cascaded 6th-order low-pass filter and a 6th-order high-pass filter with a Butterworth response) to filter the acceleration signal. The filter cutoff frequency is determined by the BB option and is not field programmable.
  • Acceleration-Velocity Signal Integration: The 86517-01-01-01-01 converts the filtered acceleration signal into a velocity signal with a sensitivity of 100 mV/in/s (peak) (or 3.94 mV/mm/s (peak)).
