Product Description
GE IC670MDL740 is a 12/24 VDC Positive Output Module, which belongs to the VersaMax series I/O modules and is a discrete output module. The module provides a single group of 16 discrete output channels, which powers the load by switching the connection between the load and the positive pole of the DC power supply. It has built-in 5A fuse protection and can be used to control devices such as solenoid valves, relays, and indicator lights.
Function & Features
- IC670MDL740 requires an external DC power supply (12/24 VDC) to drive the switch of the load, and the external power supply is connected through the 5A fuse in the module.
- The transparent area on the top of the IC670MDL740 module is equipped with independent LEDs (logic side) to indicate the switch status of each output channel. The PWR indicator lights up when the field power supply and backplane power supply are normal and the fuse is not blown.
- The intelligent processing of the IC670MDL740 module (such as output default value configuration, fault reporting, etc.) is performed by the bus interface unit or other parts of the system; it contains 16 bits (2 bytes) of discrete output data, which needs to be obtained from the host or local processor through the bus interface unit.
