GE IS400TCATH1A is a core analog termination board from the Mark Vie series. This termination board acts as an interface and signal distribution center, combining multiple analog input signals and distributing them to one or more redundant PCAA controllers.

It does not perform complex signal processing itself, but rather provides conditioned signal inputs for PCAA modules and power for the instruments. Additionally, the IS400TCATH1A provides analog outputs via hardware voting and provides bias voltages for key inputs.

Aggregation&Interface

The IS400TCATH1A combines 24 signal lines, 12 vibration signals, 12 LVDT signals, and 2 pulse signals distributed throughout the unit onto a single board, communicating with the controller via backplane cables.

Power Supply&Power Management

The IS400TCATH1A is not simply a patch panel; it also functions as a power distribution point. The IS400TCATH1A's operating power is derived from the connected PCAA module, using diode-OR logic for redundancy.

Spray painting

The IS400TCATH1A simultaneously distributes each received input signal (such as bearing temperature No. 1) to one or more connected PCAA controllers.

Signal Conditioning & Biasing

The TCAT board allows you to select whether the return line of each input channel is grounded or floating using jumpers on the board. It also provides DC bias voltage for sensors such as seismic sensors (vibration probes) and LVDTs.
