IC693BEM331 is a Genius Bus Controller (GBC) for GE Series 90-30 PLCs. It serves as the communication interface between the PLC and the Genius I/O serial bus. The bus controller can serve a variety of devices: Genius modules, providing interfaces for a variety of discrete, analog and special-purpose field devices. The controller can also manage up to 31 Genius devices, each supporting 128 bytes of input/output data, and can connect Genius I/O modules, remote substations, Field Control stations and multi-host systems.
