Product Description
GE IC670ALG620 is an RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) analog input module that supports multi-channel RTD signal input, configurable sensor type, alarm thresholds and data format for each channel, and communicates with the control system through a bus interface unit (BIU).
The IC670ALG620 is typically configured through the bus interface unit using a handheld programmer like other field control modules. When used in a system that supports such a configuration, the module can also receive configuration data from the bus. The module uses the default configuration settings at startup.
Function & Features
- Channel activation settings: Each channel of the GE IC670ALG620 can be configured as active or inactive. Inactive channels will not be scanned and will return a value of 0 to the BIU; even if the configured analog input data length of an active channel is insufficient, the data will still be processed.
- RTD type selection: Each input channel of the GE IC670ALG620 can select a different RTD type. If the actual RTD resistance does not match the defined type, an adjustment factor in tenths of an ohm can also be configured.
- Configuration method: The GE IC670ALG620 is configured by handheld programmer or BIU by default, and supports power-on loading of default settings. Configuration parameters include: RTD type, alarm limit, data unit (0.1Ω/0.1°F/0.1°C).
