Product Description
DS200PCCAG8A (DS200PCCAG8ACB) is the Power Connect Card (PCCA) in the GE Mark V series control system. It is the interface between the control circuit and the SCR (thyristor) power bridge. The card provides gate drive signals to the SCR bridge through a pulse transformer and can be used for motor controllers of different power levels.
Function & Features
- SCR drive: DS200PCCAG8A provides isolated gate drive signals through pulse transformers to trigger the SCR bridge. It also supports regenerative and non-regenerative power conversion modes.
- Snubber: In low to medium power controllers, PCCA directly connects the AC line, DC bus and gate drive snubber circuit. In high power controllers, the snubber circuit can be external (configured by jumpers).
- Jumper configuration: JP1/JP2 selects the system voltage level (connected to terminals P3-P10). WP3/WP4 determines whether the snubber capacitor is common to the voltage feedback channel (connected to P1A-P1B/P2A-P2B).
