Product Description

EPRO MMS6350 Digital Overspeed Protection System (DOPS) is a speed measurement and overspeed protection device designed for rotating machinery. It is mainly used to monitor the mechanical speed and prevent dangerous overspeed conditions. The system can be used in conjunction with a safety shut-off valve to replace traditional mechanical overspeed protection systems and meets the IEC 61508 SIL3 safety level requirements.

Function & Features

  • Speed measurement and overspeed protection: MMS6350 monitors the speed of rotating machinery and triggers the protection mechanism when the speed exceeds the safety threshold to prevent damage to the equipment due to overspeed.
  • Safety threshold and interlocking protection: MMS6350 transmits safety-related thresholds such as overspeed limits to subsequent fault safety systems.
  • Peak memory: MMS6350 is equipped with a peak memory module, which can record the maximum speed value before the equipment stops, providing data for evaluating the mechanical load caused by overspeed.
