Product Description
Bently Nevada 3500/53 Electronic Overspeed Detection System is part of the 3500 Series Machinery Detection System, which requires a 3500 frame with redundant power supplies.
Each overspeed detection module receives a single sensor signal from a proximity probe sensor or magnetic sensor. The input signal range is +10.0V to -24.0V, and the module internally limits signals outside this range.
Function & Features
- The 3500/53 monitors the speed of mechanical equipment and quickly issues an alarm signal when the speed exceeds the specified limit, prompting operators to take timely action.
- 3500/53 modules can be combined to form a 2-out-of-2 or 3-out-of-2 (preferred) voting system, reducing false alarms and missed alarms.
- The 3500/53 supports a variety of sensor types, including eddy current and magnetic sensors, such as the Bently Nevada 3300 8 mm eddy current sensor and the 3300 16 mm high-temperature eddy current sensor.
- The 3500/53 module can be software-configured to set alarm levels (setpoints) for speed below or above the specified limit, as well as a dangerous (overspeed) setpoint. Alarm points are typically adjustable between 0 and 100% of the full scale.
