GE IS200VTURH1B/IS200VTURH1BAA is a dedicated master trip protection board for Mark VI series turbines, commonly referred to as the master trip board or turbine protection board. This board monitors turbine operating parameters (such as speed and flame status) and immediately triggers shutdown if it detects any abnormal conditions (such as severe overspeed) that could endanger equipment or personnel.
With features such as overspeed protection, flame detection, automatic synchronization, and multi-trip control, the IS200VTURH1B/IS200VTURH1BAA serves as the central nervous system for turbine operation.
Function & Features
- Speed Measurement and Overspeed Protection: The IS200VTURH1B and IS200VTURH1BAA efficiently measure turbine speed using four passive pulse rate devices. The controller generates a master overspeed trip signal based on this data.
- Master Trip Relay Control: Controls the three master overspeed trip relays located on the TRPG terminal board. This creates a trip command chain from "controller → VTUR board → TRPG → emergency solenoid valve."
- Flame Detector Management: The IS200VTURH1B and IS200VTURH1BAA monitor eight flame detectors, which is important for early detection of flame anomalies.
