Allen-Bradley 1440-RMA00-04RC (Model XM-440) is a master relay module from the Allen-Bradley XM series. It provides remote, shared, voting relay operation for distributed XM measurement modules.

The 1440-RMA00-04RC (XM-440) master relay module consists of two components: the XM-942 Master Relay Terminal Block Base Unit (Model 1440-TB-C) and the XM-440 Master Relay Module (Model 1440-RMA00-04RC). The base unit handles all field wiring terminal functions, while the module includes a processor, four onboard relays, and a serial interface for local configuration. It attaches to the base unit via a key switch and a 96-pin connector.

  • Relay Outputs: The 1440-RMA00-04RC has four built-in high-power relays and can be connected to up to two XM-441 relay modules, increasing the total number of relays to a maximum of 12.
  • "A out of B" Voting Logic: Each relay in the 1440-RMA00-04RC can be independently configured with unique "A out of B" voting logic (e.g., 2 out of 3, 1 out of 2, etc.).
  • Trigger Event Linkage: When one or more relays are activated, the 1440-RMA00-04RC can send a "trigger event signal" to a group of XM measurement modules, prompting them to store "triggered trend data."
