The IQS450 204-450-000-002 A1-B21-H05-I0 is a signal conditioner designed for use with the TQ401 non-contact sensor. The IQS450 generates a high-frequency signal to drive the sensor's (TQ401) probe coil, generating an electromagnetic field.
When the sensor approaches a metallic target surface (such as a shaft), the electromagnetic field energy changes, altering the impedance of the probe coil. The conditioner detects this change, demodulates it, and converts it into a standardized electrical output signal proportional to the gap distance.
